1. Using the site
The site is free to use and needs no account. You may read it, link to it, and download the published data files.
2. What the figures are
The figures are compiled automatically from public sources. Each one names its source and the period it covers. They are for general information only and are not financial, investment, housing, legal or other professional advice.
Sources revise their data, publish late, or occasionally err, and our collection can fail. A figure may therefore be out of date or wrong. Check the original source before relying on any figure.
3. Third-party data and licences
Data from other organisations stays under their terms, listed on the Sources & Licences page. In particular, map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors under the Open Database Licence, and each picture is shown with the licence and author Wikimedia Commons states for it. If you reuse data from this site, follow the source's licence.
The site's own text, design and compilation are © Platten Industries.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not try to disrupt the site or gain unauthorised access to it.
- Automated downloads of the data files are welcome at a reasonable rate; the data changes once a day.
5. Links to other sites
The site links to its sources and other websites. We are not responsible for their content or policies.
6. No warranty
The site and its data are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Platten Industries is not liable for any loss arising from use of the site or reliance on its figures.
7. Changes
We may update these terms. The current version is always posted here with its effective date.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
